This safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park and features wildlife spotting, exciting boat cruise through Kazinga channel and visit to the equator. Queen Elizabeth National Park features as one of the most famous tourist sites in Uganda and it is credited for its distinct eco system that comes with shady humid forests, magnificent savanna vegetation, Lakes and wetlands which make the protected area the perfect spot for one to view the 4 of the big 5 game (elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions as well as the rare tree climbing lions at Ishasha region,)10 primate species and more than 620 bird species.Enjoy photography sessions throughout the trip.
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Transfer time 6 hours)
Our driver guide will pick you up in Kampala and transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal town. Along the way you will come across road side markets, plantations, papyrus swamps, forests, dairy farms and people carrying out different economic activities like brick laying, craft making etcetera. There will be a stop over in Fort Portal town for lunch before proceeding to the park where the booked hotel is situated.

DAY 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Boat cruise to Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, you will head for chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura gorge which is the main activity here. This activity allows you one hour with habituated chimpanzees with the help of a ranger guide, it can be strenuous so one needs to be physically fit. The trek involves moving up and down and as such walking sticks are useful while in the gorge. Other animals such as hippos are occasionally sighted which is an added advantage. After the trek, return to the hotel for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel (2hrs) along Lake George-Lake Edward. This channel is a natural attraction for water birds like the Great White & Pink-back, Common Squacco as well as the African Jacana while the Mweya peninsula serves as a migrant trap for Albertine Rift Endemics. You will visit the salty lake Nyamunuka for creative photography.
After the cruise, tour the equator in Kasese town (if ready) before returning to your lodge for an evening’s rest.
DAY 3: Game drive and transfer back to Kampala (Transfer time 6 hours)
Wake up early, take breakfast then start with a game drive to Kasenyi plains where you will see wild game black and different bird species along the banks of Lake Edward. After the drive, head back to Kampala through Mbarara town with a stopover at the Equator in Masaka and a brief visit to the royal drum makers point along the highway, take photographs and have lunch. Look out for game as you drive through and enjoy the beautiful scenery.Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park is truly a Medley of Wonders!
